'Pokémon Pokopia' Unveils Next Limited Time Event Featuring Bulbasaur—Is There a New Pokémon?

Don't miss out on this new and adorable limited time event in 'Pokémon Pokopia.'

"Pokémon Pokopia" has a new limited-time event that is worth looking forward to, featuring one of the most iconic Pokémon in the franchise and in the cozy game.

'Pokémon Pokopia' Unveils New Limited-Time Event

According to a release from The Pokémon Company, "Pokémon Pokopia" will have a new event called "Bulbasaur's Jump Rope Contest," which will run from April 19 to April 26 exclusively.

The team revealed that the event will start on Sunday, April 19, at 5:00 a.m., and will be available until Sunday, April 26, at 5:00 a.m., both in your region's local time.

To join, players need to have made some progress in the game first, specifically the completion of the "Yawn up a storm!" event in Withered Wasteland, according to ComicBook Gaming.

Bulbasaur Jump Rope Mechanics, Prizes

Once that condition is met, players will be able to join the jump rope contest by talking to Bulbasaur in front of the Pokémon Center. Players will then jump rope to earn prizes based on how many consecutive jumps they can perform.

There was not much information revealed by The Pokémon Company, but they have teased one reward that will be available to users who participate in the limited-time event.

According to the company, players will get an in-game trophy for their participation, and it is also expected that a limited-edition item will be given to those who reach high jump numbers.

Players can also take part in the jump rope contest in multiplayer modes by visiting a friend's Palette Town or Cloud Island, supporting group play.

In this group play setup, whoever gets the most number of jumps gets the high score, but only the host player will get the prize if playing in Palette Town. On Cloud Islands, the prize will go to the player who sets the high score.

Is a New Pokémon Coming to 'Pokopia's New Event?

The Bulbasaur's Jump Rope Contest event will not feature any new Pokémon to join "Pokopia" that will be added to a player's Dex, unlike the previous limited-time event from the game.

This event is different from the previous one hosted by The Pokémon Company, the More Spores for Hoppip event, which is known for introducing a new trio of Pokémon to the game, the evolution line of Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff.

Bulbasaur's Jump Rope Contest goes a different route as it presents a mini-game-like experience.
