Las Vegas, NV — At CES, Carmate demonstrated how everyday vehicle accessories are evolving into connected safety and convenience tools. Rather than focusing on complex dashboards or full vehicle systems, Carmate used CES to show how small, well-designed products can deliver meaningful, real-world value for drivers.

A USB Charger That Doubles as a Vehicle Tracker

One of Carmate's most notable new products at CES is a USB charger with built-in vehicle tracking capabilities. While the form factor looks familiar, the functionality goes well beyond basic charging.

"We have two new items for CES 2026," a Carmate representative explained. "One is a USB charger with a vehicle tracking system."

The device integrates directly with Apple's Find My network and Google-compatible tracking apps, allowing drivers to locate their vehicle if they forget where they parked. More importantly, it adds a layer of protection against theft.

"When your vehicle gets stolen, you can see where it is right away and go there with the police," the representative said.

Unlike many tracking solutions that rely on the vehicle being powered on, Carmate's device continues to transmit its location even when the engine is off.

"We have a condenser inside, so even with the engine off, it can give a GPS signal for about one week," the representative added.

For TechTimes readers, this approach stands out because it delivers connected vehicle functionality without requiring installation, subscriptions, or invasive hardware changes.

A Clear Shift Beyond Traditional Dash Cams

Carmate also emphasized that this product represents a clear departure from its previous CES lineup.

"Last year we showed dash cams," the representative said. "This is a brand new item for us."

That shift reflects a broader trend in the automotive accessories market, where companies are moving beyond single-function devices toward connected tools that enhance security and peace of mind.

Preparing for the Connected Vehicle Era

Looking ahead, Carmate outlined a future focused on adapting its long-standing accessories business to the realities of modern vehicles.

"We are a parts company," the representative explained. "As the automotive industry changes, we need to change what we make from traditional parts to more electronic parts that fit automated vehicles and EVs."

Rather than competing directly with automakers or platform providers, Carmate is positioning itself as a flexible accessory brand that can evolve alongside vehicle technology.

What Sets Carmate Apart

From a TechTimes editorial perspective, Carmate's CES presence stood out for its restraint and practicality

  • Familiar accessories enhanced with smart tracking features
  • No complex installation or learning curve for consumers
  • A clear roadmap toward connected and electronic vehicle parts

In a show often dominated by ambitious vehicle concepts, Carmate offered a reminder that innovation can also come in small, thoughtful upgrades to products drivers already use every day. As vehicles become more connected, Carmate's approach suggests that even simple accessories can play a meaningful role in safety and convenience.
